ECHOES Consultation

Be Part of the ECHOES Cultural Heritage Cloud Initiative

To ensure this infrastructure meets the real-world requirements of those who will use it, ECHOES launched a comprehensive community consultation, which aims to:
  • Map the communities of cultural heritage to support the project’s community-building efforts
  • Identify their digital practices and needs to inform the Cloud’s infrastructure design, capacity building and future project actions
The consultation consists of a questionnaire (which was open between February and July 2025), and follow-up workshops, focus groups and interviews.

Preliminary results

  • Factsheet presenting selected examples drawn from the consultation results and are intended to illustrate the breadth and diversity of information that can be explored in greater detail through the Visual Dashboard.
  • Visual Dashboard providing access to the raw quantitative results, allowing exploration of respondents’ profiles, areas of expertise and practices.
The qualitative analysis is ongoing and will be published as part of Deliverables D4.1 Report on identification of communities and their needs, which is expected to be available on Zenodo from June 2026.

Who can contribute?

The consultation is open to all cultural heritage stakeholders, including professionals, researchers, computer scientists/developers, umbrella organisations and institutions with a vested interest in the development and application of the Cultural Heritage Cloud.
Your insights will help us:
  • Develop a strategy for community building,
  • Inform the design and technological framework of the Cloud,
  • Identify additional stakeholders eager to contribute,
  • Initiate collaborative activities within the community,
  • Prepare new capacity-building initiatives for the next phases of the project.
Follow the updates on the ECHOES website and social media channels to find out about upcoming events and activities.
