Cascading Grants
Programme

Collaborate within the Cultural Heritage Cloud

The ECHOES Cascading Grants Programme offers funding for up to 50 projects to enhance digital engagement, data sharing, and collaboration within the Cultural Heritage Cloud. This funding is available to consortia led by Cultural Heritage Institutions (CHIs) and individual CHIs, supporting diverse initiatives across three calls. Smaller and medium-sized or lesser resourced CHIs are especially encouraged to apply.

The purpose of Call 2, expected to be launched on 30 September 2025, is to encourage small and medium-sized cultural heritage institutions across Europe to join and engage with the Cultural Heritage Cloud. The call funds projects that promote the benefits of the ECCCH, expand its community, and build the digital skills and capacity of CHIs so they can contribute to and make use of the shared cloud infrastructure. The aim is to support digitisation, preservation, research, and collaboration in the cultural heritage sector, helping CHIs overcome challenges related to digital transition while fostering cross-border cooperation and innovation.

For a comprehensive overview of the Cascading Grants Programme and other initiatives that ECHOES is launching to involve the community in the development of the Cultural Heritage Cloud, we invite you to take a look at this promotional video and the results of the December 2024 Onboarding Workshop.
