Multidimensional knowledge-based annotation for ethical context-aware heritage data life cycles
INFINITY

INFINITY advances the ECCCH with an innovative ecosystem of tools enhancing the lifecycle management of Cultural Heritage Digital Objects (CHDOs). It addresses the “Provenance Gap” by transforming fragmented data into Multidimensional Knowledge Graphs (mKGs) that capture diverse cultural, historical, and socio-political perspectives. Key innovations include plug-and-play CMS connectors and AI-driven components for metadata enrichment, ensuring seamless, scalable semantic interoperability.
Objectives/ Mission
Our mission is to provide the technical “semantic glue” for the European Collaborative Cloud. Key objectives include:
1) Transforming disconnected heritage collections into a cohesive, scalable knowledge network;
2) Deploying plug-and-play software plugins (e.g., for dLibra, Omeka S) to allow institutions to join the Cloud without infrastructure replacement;
3) Implementing advanced AI-driven validation tools to ensure high data reliability for research, education, and trustworthy AI
Expected Results
INFINITY will deliver a robust software ecosystem integrated with the ECCCH. Key outcomes include an open library of AI software components for knowledge extraction, a scalable mKG infrastructure for cross-border querying, and intuitive interfaces for interactive data exploration. These results will empower institutions to act as global data providers, unlocking CHDO potential for scientific research, societal connections, and innovative business models.
