UNICHE

UNICHE addresses current limitations in cultural heritage engagement by integrating innovative AI and XR technologies. These advanced tools will redefine storytelling, visitor interaction, and exhibition design, enhancing the accuracy, scalability, and adaptability of cultural heritage content creation and delivery. With UNICHE’s user-friendly system, cultural heritage institutions and professionals, researchers, cultural heritage freelancers, and resource-limited players will be able to collaborate and generate high-value interactive content in multiple formats.

UNICHE’s approach will first be evaluated in pilot scenarios representing diverse cultural heritage settings: open-air archaeological sites, permanent museum exhibitions, and portable exhibitions. It will then be further tested through an open call to third parties, inviting them to use the platform and fostering a community of small cultural heritage institutions and creative industry professionals.

Objectives/ Mission

  • Platform Development: Create a no-code, AI-enhanced platform for co-creating interactive cultural heritage experiences without technical expertise.
  • Personalised Engagement: Enable dynamic, immersive, and personalised visitor interactions across web, mobile, VR and MR.
  • ECCCH Integration: Ensure interoperability and compliance with ECCCH standards.
  • Validation: Test the platform in real pilots to ensure scalability, usability, and sector-wide adoption through an open call.

Expected Results

  • Tools and methodologies tailored for non-experts to develop high-quality, interactive content that will set new benchmarks for storytelling and digital heritage representation.
  • XR-based tools and AI-powered assistants that enable collaborative and intuitive design of exhibition spaces, whether physical or virtual.
