The Textailes project will participate in the upcoming Workshop “Towards Establishing Best Practices in Documenting Textile Imprints on Clay”. This is being organised by the the ExplorTIC Project on Monday, December 8th, 2025 , 10:00-18:00 CEST at Warsaw University, Poland.

This hybrid, hands-on workshop focuses on advancing documentation procedures and research protocols for textile imprints on clay. During the workshop, participants will work collaboratively toward formulating best practices for the study of textile imprints, addressing:
- The unique characteristics of the material
- Challenges in identifying raw materials and production techniques
- Issues related to digital documentation techniques such as 3D scanning, photogrammetry, and RTI
A practical, hands-on session will offer an overview of techniques for producing modern casts and impressions directly from archaeological textile imprints, supporting the development of a decision-making strategy for creating positive imprints.
