ECHOES is pleased to announce that a further seven projects funded by the Cascading Grants programme under Call 2, “Engagement and Collaboration” have started.

The Call invited applications from Cultural Heritage institutions (CHIs) to help raise awareness of the Cultural Heritage Cloud and grow its community, to support skills development and capacity building, with a focus on small and medium-sized CHIs. A variety of approaches was encouraged such as training seminars, help desks, promotional materials along with applicants own proposals. The seven new projects:

Heritage in Motion
Scope: Provide training and toolkits for Audiovisual (AV) collections, organise a symposium to share practices and build the ECCCH AV community.
Geographic region(s): Pan-Europe
Target organisations: AV heritage institutions.

EMPOWER-CH
Scope: Dissemination, consultation and peer- exchange activities to make the ECCCH more accessible to museum and GLAM professionals.
Geographic region(s): Italy, pan-Europe
Target organisations: Museums and cultural heritage institutions.

Threading Knowledge
Scope: Sector mapping, participatory consultation, and three thematic Research Tables hosted in Italy, Belgium, and Poland resulting in a a peer-reviewed publication, a final international conference, and a sustainability roadmap.
Geographic region(s): Pan-Europe
Target organisations: Small and medium-sized institutions, regional costume museums, textile archives, and university collections.

E-Kone
Scope: Provision of institutional mapping, pan-European training, practical guidance production, and regional engagement support.
Geographic region(s): Pan-Europe with focus on Central/Eastern Europe, the Western Balkans, and the Baltics.
Target organisations: Institutions employing landscape architecture archivists, curators, librarians, researchers, and landscape professionals.

CHAINN
Scope: Conferences, hands-on workshops, and structured feedback activities to build a national framework for engagement with the ECCCH.
Geographic region(s): Norway
Target organisations: Museums, archives, libraries, and heritage institutions.

NorDiBri
Scope: Targeted workshops for 30–50 professionals on FAIR data principles, metadata standards, and rights management, a trilingual Digital Commons Starter Kit in Icelandic, Faroese and Danish and a virtual Helpdesk.
Geographic region(s): Iceland and the Faroe Islands
Target organisations: Small cultural heritage institutions.

MetAwareness
Scope: A large-scale online survey to assess metadata awareness where the findings will support scientific dissemination, guide future projects and training objectives, etc.
Geographic region(s): Pan-Europe
Target organisations: Cultural heritage institutions, galleries, libraries, archives and museums.
