In this first episode, we visit Sant’Antioco in South Sardinia to explore the Punic necropolis and the fascinating Tomb of the Egyptian, one of EXCALIBUR’s four Pilot Sites. The video was filmed during the project’s two-day pilot visit and consortium meeting in Sardinia, bringing together archaeology, digital innovation, and burial heritage preservation.
Through this video, EXCALIBUR highlights how cutting-edge technologies can support the preservation, restoration, and presentation of funerary heritage, while making these sites more accessible and engaging for wider audiences.
