From 13-19 October 2025, @E.C.C.O. (European Confederation of Conservator-Restorers’ Organisations) invites you to support the 8th edition of the European Days of Conservation-Restoration (EDCR).
The European Days of Conservation-Restoration (EDCR), initiated by E.C.C.O., is an annual celebration across Europe to raise awareness of the essential role of conservation-restoration in safeguarding cultural heritage. Its aim is to make visible the value that conservation-restoration brings to society, by highlighting projects and practices led by conservator-restorers in museums, ateliers, universities, and heritage sites. Through this initiative, E.C.C.O. and its members invite the public, policymakers, and stakeholders to discover how professional conservation-restoration ensures the authenticity, sustainability, and continued accessibility of our shared cultural heritage for present and future generations.

ECHOES is proud to partner with the European Day of Conservation-Restoration on Saturday the 18th October: Impact of Digital Transition on Conservation-Restoration
Digital technologies have become part of conservator-restorers’ work, who constantly embrace new ways of optimising their activities and processes using various digital tools and services. This day calls for an exchange among peers of these fit-for purpose digital solutions that improve and bring innovation to our daily practices!
How does the EDCR work?
Every day of the week is dedicated to a different theme. Colleagues, organisations, and institutions are invited to create their own posts around these topics, using the hashtags #ECCO_EDCR and #ECCOCommunity, and tagging E.C.C.O.’s official accounts. This collective participation strengthens visibility, creates dialogue across borders, and shows the diversity of work that conservator-restorers carry out in all areas of heritage.
The daily themes for 2025 are:
Monday 13 October: Sharing an Institution / Educational Centre / Laboratories of Conservation-Restoration
