The ECHOES project organised a virtual Focus Group on Intangible Cultural Heritage Institutions on the 19th January 2026 in collaboration with CLARIN. 

After a brief introduction to the Cultural Heritage Cloud by Rémi Petitcol, as well as CLARIN’s work on Intangible Cultural Heritage by Francesca Frontini, the session featured two keynote presentations: 

  • Insights from the PlaceMUS XR project, which develops digital tools for the ECCCH to bring Europe’s musical heritage to life, by Elisa Dalla Longa and Eva Pietroni (CNR-ISPC). 
  • A presentation on working with oral archives, as well as the CLARIN K-centre for Oral Archives in Italy (K-Oar), which addresses all points of the cycle of oral data and offers expertise from many areas relevant to oral data, by Silvia Calamai (University of Siena).

The interactive session ended with an update on the ECHOES Consultation results by Charlotte Gallini and a group discussion on the current trends and challenges in the field.
