In an amazing response, ECHOES received 195 applications for the first Cascading Grants call to contribute datasets for use in the Cultural Heritage Cloud. The Coordinators of the proposed projects represent 38 different countries with over 10 applications from Ukraine alone.

The organisation of the evaluation of the Stage 1 applications is now under way. The expected timeline is as follows:

  1. First week of June: Basic eligibility check to determine which applications proceed to the evaluators’ pool
  2. 10 June: Assignment of evaluators to applications
  3. 10–30 June: Evaluation period
  4. Beginning of July: Final Evaluation Agreement Meeting
  5. By mid-July: Notification to unsuccessful applicants and to those advancing to Stage 2.

The Stage 2 platform is now being set up and is expected to launch mid-July.

Note that the Cascading Grants second call (Engagement and Collaboration) is expected to be published at the end of September.
