ECHOES is delighted to announce that the first 12 (of 20) projects from the Cascading Grants 2nd Call “Engagement and Collaboration” have started.
The Call invited applications from Cultural Heritage institutions (CHIs) to help raise awareness of the Cultural Heritage Cloud and grow its community, to support skills development and capacity building, with a focus on small and medium-sized CHIs. A variety of approaches was encouraged such as training seminars, help desks, promotional materials along with applicants own proposals.

ECCCH-ACCESS
Scope: Providing training and awareness raising to the Turkish CH sector.
Geographic region(s): Turkey
Target organisations: museums, archaeological projects, libraries, researchers, and heritage professionals through established institutional and professional networks.
EMPOWER-ECCCH
Scope: Using the Cultural Heritage Cloud to bring together, train and sustain religious cultural heritage.
Geographic region(s): Pan-Europe
Target organisations: Religious Heritage organisations who are members of the Future for Religious Heritage (FRH) network.
RE-WEAVE
Scope: strengthening the digital competences of museum and heritage educators.
Geographic region(s): Italy
Target organisations: small and medium-sized cultural heritage institutions.
arCHIve
Scope: training, peer exchange and follow-up support in digitisation skills.
Geographic region(s): Geneva and surrounding area, Switzerland
Target organisations: smaller institutions, foundations, archives and artist-led collections.
EOD4ECCCH
Scope: training to bring digitised literary works to the ECCCH.
Geographic region(s): Northern and Easter Europe.
Target organisations: small and medium-sized libraries.
OPEN-HERIT
Scope: training and support to integrate buildings documents, crafts, traditions, and other heritage assets into the ECCCH.
Geographic region(s): Pan-Europe.
Target organisations: open-air museums and regional heritage organisations.
G2C
Scope: the cultural heritage of computer games.
Geographic region(s): Pan-Europe.
Target organisations: EFGAMP, which represents the majority of European cultural heritage institutions, other organisations and companies.
ETTOA
Scope: train the trainers programme in digital skills
Geographic region(s): Hungary, Slovenia
Target organisations: smaller institutions and their parent organisations.
FolkCloud
Scope: folk music and dance practitioners dedicated to reconstructing and transmitting Polish folklore.
Geographic region(s): Poland and Europe.
Target organisations: the community of over 2,700 folklore ensembles in Poland and over 70 abroad.
PLAY-CLOUD
Scope: professionals working with children aged 3–14 who will use the ECCCH to support inclusive, meaningful, and reusable learning activities.
Geographic region(s): Pan-Europe.
Target organisations: small and medium-sized heritage institutions (museums, libraries, and archives).
CHERISH
Scope: Europe’s photographic and image heritage sector.
Geographic region(s): Pan-Europe.
Target organisations: photo libraries and press photo agencies.
ECCCH-READY WB
Scope: structured programme of awareness-raising, hands-on training in digitisation skills, and collaborative activities.
Geographic region(s): Western Balkans
Target organisations: small and medium-sized cultural heritage institutions.
