ECHOES will feature in the Europeana Project Month webinar series along with Sister projects INFINITY and ECHOLOT in “Bridging the data space and the ECCCH” on Tuesday the 17th November. Sister project HERITALISE will also feature in the webinar “3D Digitisation” from 14:00-16:00 on Tuesday 10th November.

The webinar will introduce the project, present the latest progress achieved by ECHOES, and demonstrate how the project is building an open, federated ecosystem that connects institutions, datasets, tools and expertise across Europe. A key focus will be on the relationship between the Cultural Heritage Cloud and the Common European Data Space for Cultural Heritage.
Programme
Moderator/Chair: Claudio Prandoni, ARIADNE RI
10:00-10:20 – Introduction: Why a Cultural Heritage Cloud? (Xavier Rodier, CNRS, ECHOES Project Coordinator)
Introduction to the vision behind the Cultural Heritage Cloud and the challenges it seeks to address, setting the scene for the session and for the wider Cloud ecosystem.
10:20-10:40 – Building and engaging the Cultural Heritage Cloud community (Rémi Petitcol, FSP)

10:40-11:10 – Inside the Cultural Heritage Cloud: tools, data and connections (Joanna Kowalska, PCSS)
Overview of how ECHOES is turning the vision of the Cultural Heritage Cloud into an open and federated ecosystem, connecting institutions, data, tools, services and expertise. The presentation/demo will also illustrate what working within the Cloud could mean in practice.
11:10-11:30 – Connecting the Cultural Heritage Cloud and the Data Space: Digital Commons and Heritage Digital Twin (Sorin Hermon, CyI)
Exploring how the Cultural Heritage Cloud and the Common European Data Space for Cultural Heritage can work together through the Digital Commons and the Heritage Digital Twin Ontology (HDTO), enabling cultural heritage data to be connected to collaborative environments where it can be enriched, reused and transformed into new knowledge.
11:30-12:00 – Shaping the Cloud together: Discussion and next steps (Charlotte Gallini, FSP and Léna Czech, CNRS)
Interactive closing discussion inviting participants to reflect on the opportunities and challenges presented by the Cultural Heritage Cloud, how their organisations and communities could contribute to its development, and what they would like to see from the emerging ecosystem. The discussion will also provide a bridge to the afternoon sessions featuring the Cloud sister projects INFINITY and ECHOLOT.
